After 12 hours on the bus, 7 plus hours of The Blind Side, Avatar, and RV (at least Robin Williams is in it), and only an hour or two of sleep we rolled into Tulane University in the heart of New Orleans.
56 students and adults from Mt. Carmel and Friendship on mission together. We are excited to be here and ready to go to work. We’ll join some 600 youth from across the country painting and mowing, teaching and playing, acting and singing in neighborhoods, apartments, schools, nursing homes and storefronts. Sharing the Good News in the best way I know – through ministry.
Pray for us this week as we grow strong together, as we love God more fully, and as we learn to consider others before ourselves.
…then make my joy complete by being like‑minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: (Philippians 2:2-5).
